The XXV A.I.VE.LA. National Meeting is organized in collaboration with University of Rome Tor Vergata, Department of Biomedicine and Prevention, and has been held on 9th-10th November 2017 at the Aula Montalcini of the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, Rome with the cooperation of our #MasterCBRN. The presentations have been focused on the following topics:
- Papers are sought on the following measurement techniques:
- Laser Doppler Anemometry - LDA
- Phase Doppler Anemometry - PDA
- Particle Image Velocimetry - PIV
- Flow visualization techniques
- Spectroscopic measurement techniques (LIF, Raman, etc.)
- Laser Doppler Vibrometry - LDV
- Electronic Speckle Pattern Interferometry - ESPI
- Holographic techniques
- Shearography
- Digital Image Correlation - DIC
- Moiré techniques,
- Structured light techniques
- Infrared imaging
- Photoelasticity
- Image based measurement techniques
- Ultrasonic sensing
- Acoustic and Aeroacoustic measurements
- other non contact or minimally invasive measurement techniques.
The aim of the Meeting is to present the most recent studies and results achieved and to tackle possible problems in their application.
The Meeting has been the occasion to commemorate Prof. Sergio Martellucci (http://www.aivela.org/XXV_Meeting/martellucci-prize.html), a pioneer of the research activity on laser applications, who suddenly passed away last April.
A prize in memory of Prof. Martellucci has been established by the #HESAR association for the best presentation at the XXV AIVELA Annual Meeting by a young researcher under 35 and has been won by Gloria Consoli (Università Politecnica delle Marche) with a work entitled: Metrological characterization of a therapeutic device for pressure wave therapy.
Our young PhD student, Riccardo Rossi, has brilliantly exposed a work called: Improvements and Comparisons of Experimental Setups to Measure the Velocity Vectors of Bright and Dark Dust Particle.
Dr. Pasquale Gaudio and Dr. Andrea Malizia, members of the local organizing committee of the conference AIVELA want to thanks the AIVELA directive board and PRof. Tomasini for this important cooperation.
