Full scale excercise at UCONN University of Connecticut

06.16.2019

Dear colleagues,

We are glad to communicate that a delegation of the Directive Board of the Master Cbrne Tor Vergata - Università degli Studi di Roma Tor Vergata, has participated last week to a Full-Scale Exercise (a FEMA-evaluated exercise) organized by Connecticut Departments of Emergency Management and Homeland Security (#CT-#DEMHS) and Public Health (#CT-#DPH) and hosted by the University of Connecticut

The Full-Scale Exercise was focused on the radiological contamination of a group of people that have to be checked and assisted in a controlled environment, fundamental to test all the procedures and the capabilities of all the experts involved to work in a synergic way. Everything worked great, and it has been a unique experience for the CBRNe Master courses to grow up and learn more.

We are grateful to the Yale New Haven Health Center for Emergency Preparedness and Disaster Response (Yale School of MedicineYale University) for the newborn cooperation between our University in the aim of CBRNe Master courses and maxi-emergencies to let our delegate participate with them as an observer in this Full-Scale Exercise.

We want to thank our controller, Mr. Robert D. Scata, for all his help n assisting our group of observers during all training activities.

We do invite you to stay tuned on this channel, the upcoming week will be full of events because we will continue the activities here at Yale University and the classes are hosted by the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) at The Hague for the week of course.

Best regards to all

The Directive Board of the CBRNe Master courses
