eNOTICE project

09.25.2019

Dear colleagues,

The last joint activity of eNOTICE project, hosted by the Fire Brigade Training Center of City of Dortmund (#FDDO) (https://www.h2020-enotice.eu/static/profile.html?id=3), was concluded last monday.

In the contest of the JA, that took place from 20 to 23 September, several different activities dedicated to the CBRN safety and security have been developed:

  • The annual project policy meeting, with the participation of various institutions, among these is the presence of representatives from both the fire department, the Bundesamt für Bevölkerungsschutz und Katastrophenhilfe, the Ministerium für Inneres und Kommunales NRW and the German army.
  • The eNOTICE annual meeting, open for the first time to the participation of all the TCs present in the project network.
  • A field exercise with the fire brigade units: the exercise was carried out on Saturday on the site of the Deutsche Bahn Konzern. About 170 operators participated (including the Feuerwehr Bochum and Feuerwehr Herne units). The scenario, "an accident to a cistern containing an unknown liquid substance" was also addressed in collaboration with a unit of the Polish partner CNBOP (https://www.h2020-enotice.eu/static/profile.html?id=6) , responsible for the exploration of the air and provided updated information from the air and provided information updated on the air and the development of local control.

Dr. Daniele Di Giovanni attended the meeting to represent our CBRN Master Courses, and the University of Rome Tor Vergata that are partner of this very interesting European project.
