eNotice and Proactive

Dear colleagues,

On 20 and 21 November, a meeting of the representatives of eNOTICE (https://www.h2020-enotice.eu/) and PROACTIVE (https://proactive-h2020.eu/) projects took place in Rome, at the University of Tor Vergata and in Rieti, at the Italian Joint NBC Defence School.

For eNOTICE the meeting was attended by the representatives of the International CBRNe Masters(#MasterCBRN), the Italian Joint NBC Defence School (https://www.difesa.it/SMD_/EntiMI/ScuolaNBC/Pagine/default.aspx) and by Campus Vesta (https://www.campusvesta.be/en.html), while for PROACTIVE were present: Union internationale des chemins de fer, CBRNE Ltd, Umea Universitet and Eticas Research and Consulting SL.

The main objective of the meeting to establish the basis for the organization of a jointly conducted exercise to be organized October 2020, at Italian NBC Defence School, in the context of the eNOTICE project’s Joint Activity.

The exercise in Rieti will be the first of three different exercises, that will be organized jointly by the two projects. The exercise will involve not only the NBC School’s training staff and practitioners (as usual in the eNOTICE’s exercises), but also volunteers of the civil society, also considering vulnerable groups of citizens, recruited in the project PROACTIVE.

University of Rome Tor Vergata, eNOTICE project partner with “the International CBRNe Master courses” hosted the first day of meeting, which saw the participation not only of the representatives of the two project consortia, but also of civilian stakeholders: the University commission for the inclusion of students with disabilities (“Caris” http://caris.uniroma2.it/) and the association “Emergenza sordi” (https://www.emergenza24.org/emergenza-sordi/)

The second day of the meeting was hosted by the Italian NBC Defence School. After the greeting of General Emilio Corbucci, Commander in Chief of the school, the representatives of the projects had the opportunity to discuss organizational aspects of the future exercise and to visit the training area NUBICH.

The University of Rome Tor Vergata would like to express its gratitude to Italian Joint NBC Defence School and to rapresentatives of the projects for the quality of the discussion and for the proficiently time spent in Rome and Rieti.
