Workshop on "IoT in Medical Sciences and Healthcare"
06.08.2017
It is our pleasure to participate in the enormous conference of IoT Week 2017 at Geneva, Switzerland, during June 6-9, 2017. In the workshop "IoT in Medical Sciences and Healthcare" on 7th June, Dr. Jean-François Ciparisse, staff member of our Master courses, was a speaker. He spoke on "Application of optical techniques to detect and identify chemical agents dangerous for human health", which created a significant stir in the audience, which lead to several interesting questions and interactions after the workshop.
The workshop was moderated by Prof. Parag Chatterjee, Professor-Researcher from the National Technological University (Universidad Tecnológica Nacional) in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Also he collaborated closely with the University of Rome Tor Vergata for the last couple of weeks, following the SICC-2017 conference, where he was a Chair.
The other talks in the IoT workshop were interesting as well, discussing diversified subjects like security in eHealth by Prof. Benoist and Mr. Sliwa from Switzerland and active and healthy aging by Dr. Guillen from Spain.
The workshop was very interactive with lots of comments from the audience as well. It's an amazing example how different research branches fuse together to make IoT possible.
