Dear Delegate and Participant Colleague,
 

On behalf of the Organising Committee, the Emergency and Public Safety Directorate of Abu Dhabi Police, ADP GHQ, UAE would like to extend a warm and cordial invitation to you to attend and/or contribute to the forthcoming Emergency Medicine Conference which will take place at the Intercontinental Hotel, Abu Dhabi, UAE October 23rd – October 25th, 2017.


The joint standing committee and its main international strategic partners are expecting to see a wide range of delegates from around the globe, i.e., North America, Europe and beyond attending our second international conference in Abu Dhabi later this year.
The conference and its main theme will accommodate the needs of various delegates, and hence expected to discuss and through its main workshops, plenary sessions, symposia, panels and poster presentations a wide range of evidence-based pre-hospital and hospital-based Emergency topics including trauma, adult and paediatric emergency, CBRN Emergency, Preparedness and search rescue responses etc.


The conference programme planned to include:

  • i) Four major workshops covering advanced concepts in prehospital emergency care
  • management and trauma life support, CBRN emergency and hazard vulnerability
  • analysis as well as challenges of hospital based Emergency Medicine and the role of
  • the emergency department in the chain of emergency care delivery.
  • ii) The other coverage of the main program will also include a range of invited
  • presentations and keynote speeches to discuss emergency preparedness, quality and
  • lessons learnt. Other topics planned to be included in the conference are emergency
  • and mass causalities, emergency and disaster medicine, the role of EMS and
  • emergency medicine in injury prevention as well as stroke care, leadership and
  • management in emergency and disaster settings, emergency psychiatry and trauma,
  • building a global emergency medicine network. There will be also a highlight on the
  • future of emergency medicine and health care challenges.
     

Further, invited keynote speakers colleagues are expected to present their recent work and discuss major advancement made in both emergency and disaster medicine at various plenary sessions, panels as well as at pre-conference workshops. The pre-conference workshops will precede the conference and hence delivered on October 23rd , 2017; and planned to cover four topics of a wide range of interests.
 

It is worth noting at this stage that the chair of the conference, deputy chair and all members of the joint standing conference committee are planning to work very hard to turn again the forthcoming conference in Abu Dhabi to an exciting ( i.e., rich and stimulating conference) and indeed memorable event for all those who will attend.
 

We very much hope you will be able to attend and express interestto contribute in one form or another to this large scientific gathering, network and experts of a range of specialties.
