Latina Nuclear Power Plant visit - DAY 1

Dear colleagues,
Yesterday the 1st Level #MasterCBRN class of the University of Rome Tor Vergata has started the first of three days of visit/training on the job at the Latina Nuclear Power Plant organized by #SOGIN.
The first day has been rich in activities, it was the program:
- SOGIN Profile
- NPP Latina: Decommissioning
- Safety Culture in Sogin
- Operative Radioprotection
- NPP Radiological characterization
- Visit to the facilities.
Dr. Rivieccio, Dr. Rusconi, Dr. Falcone, Dr. Migliore, Dr. Amoroso, and Dr. Manes have been lecturers in this days and we want to thanks them, the NPP of Latina and Sogin for this amazing opportunity.
Dr. Rusconi gave an introduction to the activities and to the safety culture concepts then Dr.Migliore has explained the mission of Latina NPP. Dr. Falcone talked about radiation protection aspects during decommissioning and radioactive waste management. Then Dr. Amoroso talked about the Radiological characterization objectives, radioactive inventory, Contamination, Characterization program, Activation calculations, Radiological survey: clearance levels.
The candidates have been then conducted to a tech visit facility.
We will publish day2 and day3 of the visit in the next days.
