EUprotect project

10.16.2019

On the 10th of October, the EU Protect project had its Kick Off.

6 partners from 3 EU countries (Italy, Spain, Hungary): STAM (the coordinator); University of Rome Tor  Vergata with its CBRNe Master Courses; Istituto Affari Internazionali, Metro de Madrid, APF ingenieria and Paulinyi and Partners, gathered together in the beautiful venue of the Genoa Old Port.

EUProtect aims to develop new solutions for the protection of European citizens and public spaces against terrorist threats. The project is financed under the DG HOME program: ISFP-2018-AG-CT-PROTECT and has a duration of 24 months.

This team will analyze and develop new solutions to protect people and soft-targets from terroristic and CBRNe events, modeling two use cases i.e. a metro station and a shopping mall.

Unitov will provide its expertise in the field of numerical simulations and development of ad hoc training methodology and training material to disseminate the solutions among the relevant Stakeholders.

Dr. Pasqualino Gaudio, Dr. Mariachiara Carestia and Riccardo Quaranta, MSc, attended the Kick Off meeting and presented to the partners, their plan of action for the forthcoming activities of the project.
