TRANSTUN - H2020 project

10.21.2019

Dear colleagues,

On 14 and 15 October the kick-off meeting of the "TRANSnational TUNnel operational CBRN risk mitigation" (TRANSTUN) project took place in the headquarter of the Ouvry company in Lyon (France).

Representatives of the whole consortium, composed by SAFE (coordinator), Ouvry, Lombardi, Novadays, B&S Europe, Hospice Civils de Lyon, and University of Rome Tor Vergata (#MasterCBRN) joined the 2-days meeting to plan and discuss the organisation of the five working packages of the project, that will last for 20 months until June 2021.

The scope of the project, a public-private initiative which addresses the risk of chemical events in cross-border critical infrastructures (tunnels) of the European Union, is to define, produce and test standardized operational guidelines for effective response to chemical events affecting cross-border tunnels in the EU. The project will include a live exercise in a transnational tunnel engaging private operators and end-users from France, Italy and Spain.

During the meeting, all the consortium partners presented their approaches for the activities in the different working packages; in particular, Novadays presented the work path for the immediate activities of WP2 and the representatives of the University of Rome Tor Vergata presented the technical approach to the research in the different phases of the project.

The University of Rome Tor Vergata would like to express its gratitude to all the project partners for the quality of the discussion and for the profiently time spent in Lyon.

STAY TUNED!
